Kleiman-Daugherty Win Pro-Pro

Seniors Jan Kleiman and Diane Daugherty claimed first place in the Midwest Pro-Pro event at Aberdeen Golf Club on Monday. The duo fired a stalwart one-under 70 on Monday’s alternate shot event to go with their 72 from the best ball on Sunday.

The team came from five shots back of Hillery Wilson Sence and Alecia Larsen, who closed with an 80 (147 total) to go with their bestball score of 67. Angie Ause and Suzanne Noblett took third place with their score of 149.

The entire event was a huge success with a seminar from John Thorp from BodiTrak and Dr. Matt Matava, M. D., a professional team orthopedic surgeon, who addressed golf injuries. Some professionals also participated in teaching over 30 young girls from the local LPGA-USGA Girls Golf organization prior to the playing event on Sunday.

Program organizers Maria Palozola and Jill Bertram made the two days in St. Louis a fun experience of teaching, golf, food, and camaraderie for all!
